Question: when was the first time you realised you like using art in your stories?

Great question. I would probably say about 4 years ago when I was half way through my PhD. At that point I thought all I could do as a scientist was do research in a lab. But I had to enter a competition during my PhD, which I ended up winning and it made me realise that I was actually kind of good at being creative with science and sharing science. So since then I have shared videos about science, I run a science blog and science Instagram page all in the name of being creative with science. It wasnt really until I started my job last January that I did more with art in the stories I tell, but it is a great way to communicate sometime very complicated science with anyone and everyone.
