You should definitely talk to someone about it – I would encourage seeing your doctor, and your parents and your teachers can be of big help in giving you support. Sharing how you feel with friends can help you feel less sad. It’s important to realise that when we feel sad, we tend to want to avoid people, or school, or chores because it feels more effortful to be around people, but not doing what you normally do will actually just make things worse. Try and write down 5 to 10 things that you enjoy doing, and when you feel sad next, pick one of those activities and just do it! When I feel sad, I try and sing some of my favourite songs, or call up my friends to have a board game night. I usually feel better by the end of this 🙂
