Really good question 👍 I guess it varies everyday but I have to be honest the days are pretty long. I tend to get to work around 8AM, and then might work till about 6PM each day roughly.
On the days in hospital I will spend a lot of that time seeing patients taking part in clinical trials (testing new treatments to get people better)
Days doing research I am based at the university and work on trying to understand how to make these clinical trials better and quicker, so people can get better quicker
Hi, interesting question. The simple answer is that it really varies. On the days I am doing research I am usually at work 9am to 5pm and sometimes do an hour or so of work in the evening. On the days I work in the hospital, I work much longer. A “normal” hospital day is usually 8am to 6pm ish, but we do also do longer 13hr shifts during the day or overnight.
