  I’ve researched four infectious diseases – a parasitic infection called schistosomiasis, which is spread by snails, and two sexually transmitted infections – HIV and syphilis. They’re all nasty diseases in different ways – schistosomiasis infects more people (over 200 million people) but HIV causes more deaths (770000 in 2018).

I work on childhood obesity which is rapidly spreading problem across the world. Currently 1.5 billion adults are obese and this is due to double by 2030. Any ideas how to tackle it?
