Question: Since your work is about asthma, does asthma stay with you forever and how do you get it?

Hi 🙂 The causes of asthma are still fairly unknown! It is thought that you are more likely to get it if you have asthma or allergies in the family or for some environmental reasons like growing up around cigarette smoke. People have asthma attacks for lots of different reasons depending on what triggers they have – these can include things like pollen, animal hair or even stress and anger. If you develop asthma as a child then this could possibly go away or improve however people that develop asthma as an adult are likely to suffer long term.
