Hello again! Another great question 🙂 I think that everyone is impacted by stress and anger, but that more needs to be done to recognise and help children with in particular. Stress affects different people in different ways and I could see an argument either way for it affecting children or adults more, but there is certainly more support and therapy available for (and designed for) adults. Stress early in life is known to be particularly important to mental health later in life though, so looking at ways of reducing the impacts of stress in children or finding ways to reduce the likelihood children are exposed to this stress is vital.

I think everyone has their own challenges. Some people are very good at hiding their stress, so sometimes its hard to tell if someone you know is having a really tough time. It’s important that both adults and children try to understand each other – especially adults to children, because us adults often have more experience in dealing with our stress. If you’re struggling with a lot of anger and stress, there are a lot of people who you can talk to: parents/guardians, teachers, aunts and uncles, grandparents, or your doctor 🙂

This is a great question – I think that children and adults differ in how they manage their stress. I think children are still learning how to cope with stress, so stressors that show up feel very tough to manage. Adults might have more daily stressors, but have had practice managing this stress. Like Nathan said, lots of the treatments we have for stress and mental health has been tested in adults, so I think there are fewer resources for children as of now (but lots of new treatments are being developed!)

Oooh good question! I think we all have a lot going on in our lives which can cause us to get angry or stressed. For adults this can sometimes be really obvious – work might be busy, family might be unwell etc. But for children I think it can be harder for us to see and understand when they are angry or stressed, or they might find it harder to talk about/describe. Whatever age you are, its really important to find ways to deal to help with feelings of angry or stress. I don’t just mean ignoring those feelings but realising those feelings are there and finding ways to work through them. Often that starts with talking about what is on our mind with people we trust – friends or family, but sometimes people need help for more specialist people life school counsellors or mental health workers.
